In the April 2015 update, we showed the entrance steps before and then after having been removed for renovation. Their removal gave us an excellent opportunity to descale and paint the exposed chassis as seen here. The first picture shows the steelwork in yellow primer and the second after silver paint was applied.
Meanwhile, the step unit which is made of a single piece of aluminium was straightened and patch welded. The next three photographs show the step unit and individual steps being fitted. Next tasks include polishing the aluminium and laying green 'treadmaster' floor covering. The square hole in the bottom step is where the entrance light will be fitted.
